Warrenville Youth & Family Services (WYFS)
WYFS is a multi-purpose community resource center serving the residents of the Warrenville area in Chicago’s western suburbs. Programs include the Community Counseling Center, Case Management Assistance, Mentoring and Quest, an after-school/summer-school program for middle school and high school aged youth.
The Bilingual Case Manager is responsible for the management of casework services to Warrenville clients who are in crisis or seeking to improve their situations and for effectively collaborating with staff across WYFS programs to provide wrap around support for students, families and individuals. The Bilingual Case Manager works directly with clients by delivering service, providing linkage to community resources and serving as an advocate. Other responsibilities include employment support, client emergency funds, community events, involvement in community organizations to promote awareness of the needs of low-income residents and the supervision of interns.
The Bilingual Case Manager participates in clinical meetings, WYFS staff meetings and reports to the WYFS Director.
Bilingual (Spanish & English) required. MSW required, licensure preferred. A minimum of 2 years of directly related experience. Knowledge of public systems and resources that affect low-income and under-resourced clients. A strong interest in community outreach and engagement. Collaborative style with organizational skills and project management ability. Demonstrated ability to engage clients and consistently follow through on communication and required paperwork/ reporting. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel. Valid Illinois driver’s license, good driving record and reliable vehicle required.
Part-time at 25 hours/week. M-F, 5 hours/day. 1-2 evenings per week and occasional weekend hours for community or fundraising events.
The hourly rate for this position falls between $18 – $20.50 based on language ability, experience, and education.
